At Marlow, we are always keen to welcome new bowlers to our sport. Bowls is a game for all ages and abilities. Whether you are nine or ninety, able bodied or disabled, we would like to offer you the chance to play bowls.

To that end we hold regular open days when anyone is welcome to join us to see what the game is about.

Our next open days are on Friday 3rd May 2024 from 6:00pm and on Sunday 5th May between 10:00am and 1:00pm. And on Monday on 27th May, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, we like many Clubs, will be throwing open our doors for the Bowls England “Big Bowls Weekend”

Feel free to drop in on any of these events and we will do our best to make you welcome. All that we ask is that flat soled shoes are worn when you are on the green.

However, if you would like to see what bowls is about but unable to come to one of our open days, we would still like to see you. From 3rd May through until mid-September, the Club will be open every Friday evening from 6:30pm when you would be most welcome to try your hand on the green and possibly have a drink at the bar.

If after a taster session, you did feel you would like to learn more about the game, we can offer coaching free of charge and with no obligation to join the Club. We would even provide you with the equipment whilst you are learning. All we ask is that you wear flat soled shoes on the green.

If you were thinking of joining our Club, you would find that bowls is less costly than most sports. Currently the Annual Subscription for Full Members is £140 per year. However, to encourage people to take up the sport, we only ask for half this (£70) for the first year. For that, you get use of all the Club’s facilities for 12 months, there are no other charges.

The Annual subscription for Junior members aged 14 to 18 is just £5 and membership is free for those 13 and under.

So why not give it a go, you never know bowls maybe the game for you.

You could find yourself playing in competitions at Club, County, National or even International level.

On the other hand, you may be happy just playing a game between friends on a sunny summer evening.
